With Autism Tracker Pro you can easily track anything from behaviors to bowel movements (or "Poop Frequency" as we call it in my house!). And you can view your data in graph form, which comes in very handy when you're looking for correlations.
One of the most important things about Autism Tracker Pro is that it's VERY easy for parents to use! It's also very easy to draw correlations such as "When he didn't get any playtime that week, his behaviors increased big time." Peep the graphs. Separate graphs, one under the other, simple to read and understand.
I love apps that give me ultra-control. And this is one of them. You can type in whatever you want to track... and graph. It's fabulous! And if you miss a day, or time depending on the intervals you set, you can go in and enter data after the fact. Perfect! Life with an autistic kid can be pretty crazy sometimes and we forget things from time to time, like entering data. If you should forget to enter some data, this app uses badges to let you it. Like everything else with this app, entering data is easy. It's not a chore at all.
The information you're tracking for your kid is personal, and with Autism Tracker Pro you can password protect it. Then again, if you want to share it, you can email or Tweet from within the app. "Hey!!! My boy pooped today!!!" Sometimes that's the kind of stuff we want to share.
What about backup? Nobody wants to lose data. You can backup via email and import also. This backup feature is great, but it says it's exporting a graph. It's really exporting a table that you can then use, if you like, within a spreadsheet program to make a graph. And when restoring it'd be cool to be able to restore all the default items I deleted when customizing the app, without overwriting my precious data. I'd also like to backup using iCloud. Maybe we'll see that feature in the future?
You can enter data for multiple times in a day. Add new items and decide which page to put them on. Decide what type of scale you want in order to keep track, and even use your own photos if you want.
You get lots of features with Autism Tracker Pro. But you only get to track one child. And you can't enter his name or other information.
The interface can be customized with different color themes. I like the Summer Day Theme myself.
There's also a free Lite version you can try out before committing to Autism Tracker Pro.
When viewing graphs you cannot scroll ahead into the future, naturally, but when entering data you can flip forward into the future and successfully input data on a day that has yet to occur. I'm not sure why. I'm also not sure what benefit that offers. Users probably shouldn't have that ability because, if anything, it can only create confusion.
Having only the few flaws and omissions mentioned above, if you want to accurately track "whatever it is" with your autistic child, I recommend Autism Tracker Pro. For parents it's really the only option, but that's a good thing!
