  • Parent Autism Blog

  • Welcome to the parent autism blog at Autism Epicenter. This is an online journal written directly by parents of children with ASD. We'll share the triumphs and challenges as well as anything else that comes to our minds as related to Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

    Two parents post here:

    - Shane
Autism Dad and the founder of Autism Epicenter. His son was born in 2002 and diagnosed in 2004 with classic autism.

    - Sherri
Mother of "Sir Dantes". He was born in 2007 and diagnosed in 2009. "Ms. Maxie" is her typical daughter (doesn't have autism). Sherri works full time and blogs because she finds it to be therapeutic.

My seven year old non verbal son with autism is learning how to identify letters and be able to form words. This looks like a great app for helping with a letterbard etc. Really woud love the opportunity for him to be able to try this great app out!

While it's nice to provide this app - I work with many families who are Title I and ESL. They don't have the funds for a luxury item such as an iPad. It would be nice if the iPad was included in the offer. I know of many families who would love this, but can't afford the devise to take advantage of the free app.

I have an 11 year old daugther who is completely non-verbal. We already purchased an iPad for her one the first day it came out. I have been looking for good Apps to teach language skills but most of them, like Predictable are expensive. I would like my daughter Abbigail to be considered for this App. Thank you in advance.

This looks like a great app for me when I'm working with children with autism that are non-verbal. Some of the children that I work with would benefit highly from this app. Or even as a visual schedule that can be quickly changed to support the child.

Kristie Renee' Sepulveda-Burchit, if I don't hear from Gerry soon then you inherit Predictable. Be ready!
